Your artistic vision comes from a combination of who you innately are, along with your unique experiences in this life. This becomes the lens that everything is filtered through and it’s where your art is created from. Your voice is how you articulate that vision. It sounds easy, but for a variety of reasons it’s not, and we’re often disconnected from our own personal vision. This can result in work that doesn’t feel authentic, a frustrating practice of starts and stops, and making work that just doesn’t have the potency you desire. I experienced all of this for a long time, so I know how awful it can feel to be so disconnected from the art you want to make.

Understanding and clarifying your unique vision and voice is not often taught, but is essential in making meaningful, authentic work and having an inspiring and sustainable practice. This is why Cheryl Taves and I are collaborating on this online program we’re calling, “Vision + Voice”. Cheryl and I have coached many artists, both together and separately, and share a passion for helping artists find themselves in their art.

Our goal with this program is to teach you some ways to connect to your art and practice, moving you closer to your vision and voice for your art, and do it more quickly than it took us.
